Silk Stories is a behind-the-scenes view into the silk production process and the impact of globalization and change in the lives of the silk farmers, producers, weavers and consumers in southern India.

The first several narratives were developed through a combination of photography, short-form video documentaries and essays. I plan to introduce additional stories and topics related to the silk industry in the coming weeks and will blog about them in the section of my website called, “community”. I hope that you will join me in appreciating the true art that is made possible through this ancient supply chain through the hundreds of hands that touch every strand of silk thread.
