Welcome to Silk Stories! My love affair with silk started two years ago while living abroad in India. While there, I had the opportunity to go deep into the lives and work of the mulberry silk farmers, producers and weavers. I was fascinated to explore an ancient and colorful craft that is still practiced the same way today as it was a hundred years ago. I am excited to share these stories through this website. In addition to photography, I enjoy travel, art, music and living in Washington, DC.
I recently completed a master's degree program in New Media Photojournalism at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design, George Washington University.
